Job Overview
As a Business Development Representative at Worldstrides, you will play a crucial role in identifying and cultivating new mentor relationships, particularly within the educational sector. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct online research to discover potential mentors, add them to our database, and foster strong connections with these professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough online research to identify potential new mentors, focusing on schools and academic institutions.
- Gather valuable feedback from mentors, address any concerns or questions they may have, and ensure their satisfaction and engagement.
- Incentivize mentors to nominate students into our program by highlighting its benefits and impact, thereby driving growth and expansion.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, allowing for effective interaction with mentors and other stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport over the phone, fostering trust and credibility.
- Prior experience in telemarketing or customer service roles is preferred but not mandatory; however, possessing strong multitasking and time management abilities is essential.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a college degree being an asset.
Benefits
