Senior Commercial Strategist for SMB Growth

About the Role
In this pivotal position, you will spearhead growth initiatives for our Scaled Restaurants portfolio in Mexico. Leveraging strategic analysis, process optimization, and leadership, you'll enhance merchant engagement, loyalty, and success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a roadmap of initiatives to boost engagement, loyalty, and growth for new and mature SMB merchants.
- Lead churn management as the primary point of contact, overseeing the entire process from start to finish.
- Analyze churn trends and identify drivers to implement effective strategies, reducing the overall churn rate.
- Optimize merchant journeys by addressing friction points to improve performance.
- Define and oversee the lifecycle of newly onboarded merchants, including actions, incentives, processes, and governance.
- Monitor early-stage accounts, tracking operational performance trends to ensure success.
- Design scalable solutions to drive growth and maximize the performance of newly acquired SMBs across Mexico.
- Develop and optimize processes to support SMB operations and growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional, sales, and Territory teams to support long-term growth.
- Manage and mentor 2 direct reports.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in commercial strategy, tech operations, business consulting, or online food delivery.
- Proficiency in data-driven problem-solving and strategic thinking, with experience addressing complex analytical challenges.
- Proven ability to execute in fast-paced environments.
- Strong commercial business acumen, with familiarity in Mexico's tech, restaurant industry, or SMB sectors.
- Excellent project implementation and stakeholder management skills.
- Structured, organized, and innovative mindset.
- Experience processing high volumes of data.
- Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and Google Slides.
- Professional proficiency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SQL or similar programming languages.
- Background in restaurant engagement and/or growth strategies, particularly with high-volume SMBs in fast-paced settings.
- Experience managing people.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
Compensation Package:$120,000 - $150,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
