Housekeeper - Hospitality Professional

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Marine Corps Community Services. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities, providing exceptional customer service, and working collaboratively with our team to deliver a world-class experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of guest rooms, including making beds, changing linens, and sanitizing bathrooms
- Conduct thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, waxing, and polishing furniture, sweeping and vacuuming floors, and emptying trash and recyclables
- Use heavy equipment, such as industrial-type powered scrubbers and buffers, to scrub and polish floors
- Wash and replace Venetian blinds, wash ceiling fixtures, and move heavy furniture as needed
- Conduct linen and amenity inventory, and launder linens and towels as required
- Set up breakfast tables, arrange pre-packaged food, and prepare coffee and other beverages
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer needs and concerns in a friendly and professional manner
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure seamless delivery of services and maintain a positive and respectful work environment
Requirements:
- Must be at least 20 years old and have graduated from high school or equivalent
- Must be able to lift items weighing up to 25 pounds and bend, stoop, and push/pull heavy carts weighing up to 100 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Must have a valid Government Owned Vehicle (GOV) operator's permit
- Must be able to accommodate flexible work schedules, including weekends and night time
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and carpet shampoo machines
- Ability to prioritize tasks, restock maid carts, and organize work
- Basic ability to comprehend English language sufficient to understand information such as cleaning solution labels and instructions
