You will be responsible for providing technical tax law assistance, preparing tax returns and estimates, and analyzing tax-related issues.
Main Responsibilities- Technical Tax Law Assistance: Provide basic level technical tax law assistance, including preparing tax forms, performing tax research, and preparing analysis for senior tax analysts.
- Tax Return Preparation: Coordinate and analyze information required for preparation of tax returns or estimates, and prepare the documents by the appropriate deadlines.
- Tax Research and Analysis: Research and analyze tax-related issues that arise, using various sources, including online systems.
- Interface with Tax Auditors: Interface with Tax Auditors and prepare responses to tax requirements and audits.
- Complex Tax Return Preparation: Prepare segments for more complex tax returns under the coordination of a more senior tax analyst.
- Accounting Information Analysis: Coordinate and analyze accounting information in order to complete various reports by appropriate deadlines, and identify any potential planning opportunities from the data submitted.
- General Tax Assistance: Provide general assistance on various tax issues and tax planning projects.
- Education: Accounting or similar degree, Tax Master Degree desirable.
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in taxes.
- Skills: Ability to use standard desktop load applications, such as Microsoft Office, and intranet and internet functions. Ability to perform legal research using the internet and various online tools and CD-ROM programs. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or equivalent. Knowledge of tax law. High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
