About the Role

Aveva is a global leader in industrial software, providing cutting-edge solutions to thousands of enterprises worldwide. As a Senior Technical Support Engineer, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer support and ensuring the smooth operation of our customers' industrial processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, and remote access, resolving issues related to Aveva's Wonderware products and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including knowledge objects, articles, and WebEx sessions, to support knowledge transfer and customer education.
  • Participate in annual events, such as the Aveva World event, presenting technical sessions, product demos, and event setup/teardown.
  • Conduct on-site visits to customers to resolve issues, provide consultancy services, and transfer knowledge to less-experienced team members.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable knowledge of installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Aveva's Wonderware products and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • 5+ years of related work experience, with a degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
  • Experience with Windows Operating Systems, virtualization technologies, cloud computing, Android, iOS, Windows 10, and UWP.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with implementing or supporting Aveva's Wonderware products, including AVEVA MES, AVEVA System Platform, AVEVA Historian, AVEVA InTouch, AVEVA InTouch OMI, AVEVA Batch Management (InBatch), and AVEVAWork Tasks.
  • Knowledge of APM products, including AVEVA Mobile Operator Rounds (IntelaTrac).
