Cabot Corporation is seeking a highly motivated and technically adept Desktop Support Engineer to join the Digital Service Delivery Management team at our Altamira, Mexico facility.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide second-level IT technical support of desktops and IT equipment at the site or remotely.
- Diagnose and problem solve issues on a particular technology or local applications.
- Resolve problems of medium complexity.
- May assist with the coordination of regional activities and support Digital projects & Global initiatives.
- High proficiency in English.
- Ability to work in a digital fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of IT equipment and software.
As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing second-level support directly to local users at business or manufacturing sites or to regional users remotely. You will ensure smooth and timely attention and solution to user problems, handle a wide variety of service issues, and consistently meet Service Level Agreements.
You will also be responsible for providing new user induction training, taking care of hardware provisioning, and ensuring and maintaining sufficient computer equipment capacity. Additionally, you will perform physical asset audits, maintain inventory for computers ready to deploy, and execute established Digital procedures and guidelines.
You will work closely with the North & South America Service Delivery Manager and the Facility Operations Manager to ensure the success of the team.
