Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Business Partner to join our team at Kohler. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing Human Resources processes in our Plant, while also assisting with the overall operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop strong relationships with associates and Union leadership by spending time on the manufacturing floor, working with managers, general supervisors, and supervisors to develop a strong communications strategy.
- Focus on retention, development, and succession of the operational workforce.
- Implement cost-effective and timely development plans that result in improvement of the strength of the organizational operation workforce.
- Advise members on interpersonal relationships, career plans, development plans, and corrective actions.
- Drive activities and behaviors that are consistent with the organizational changes that need to be addressed.
- Implement and follow up on all Kohler policies regarding Human Resources.
- Assist the internal customer with their needs, taking into account corporate human resources policies.
- Serve as a link between the human resources organization and the workforce, becoming a representative of the company and an employee advocate.
- Implement recognition and reward programs to continue to work on becoming the employer of choice and work on retention tools.
- Measure the work environment to prevent problems among our workforce and between workers and their supervisors.
- Prepare and collect information to understand, analyze, and solve HR-related problems.
- Participate in the solution of everyday HR-related problems in the plant.
- Coordinate and/or support sport events, integration events, services for personnel, transportation service, and other activities related to associates.
- Create and maintain a respectful relationship with union representatives.
- Comply with the Health and Safety Roles and Responsibilities established for this position.
Relationships and Contacts
- Supervisory Relationships: Reports to SR Human Resources Mgr., Plants Kohler Sanimex.
- Organization Relationships: Frequent contact with Plant Manager, General Supervisors, and Supervisors.
- Organization Relationships: Frequent contact with all factory personnel in Sanimex.
- Organization Relationships: Frequent contact with Union delegates.
- Organization Relationships: Frequent contact with Recruitment.
- External Business Relationships: Frequent contact with Kohler Attorney.
- External Business Relationships: Moderate contact with the Mexican Labor agencies.
- External Business Relationships: Moderate contact with vendors.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree required, preference to those with a major in Human Resources, Administration, or experience.
- Experience: Preferred, minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources, with 2 years of correlated performance as a business partner in a manufacturing operation.
