Machine Build Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Build Engineer to join our team at Autoliv. As a Machine Build Engineer, you will be responsible for leading new or retrofit equipment launches, providing quotes for new programs, and ensuring the successful installation and operation of equipment at our supplier and assembly plant sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Launch and Installation: Ensure the successful execution of equipment launches, including buy-off, spare parts, manuals, MSA, and torque studies delivery on time.
- Quality and Reliability: Implement a Zero Defects Philosophy and First Time Quality approach to ensure the highest level of quality and reliability in our equipment.
- Project Management: Deliver projects on time and within budget, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the process.
- Quote and Proposal Development: Develop accurate quotes and proposals for new launches, taking into account customer requirements and Autoliv's pricing strategy.
- Equipment Sourcing and Procurement: Identify and source the necessary equipment for each new launch, working closely with local suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Design and Process Improvement: Collaborate with the design center to ensure that new products are designed with manufacturability in mind, and identify opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Communication and Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and operations, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration throughout the equipment launch process.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Machine Build Engineer who possesses excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence. You should have a strong understanding of equipment pricing, procurement, and installation, as well as experience with project management and quality control.
Requirements:
- APQP Knowledge: Basic knowledge of APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) principles and practices.
- Equipment Launch Experience: Experience with equipment launches, including buy-off, spare parts, manuals, MSA, and torque studies delivery.
- Quality and Reliability: Experience with implementing a Zero Defects Philosophy and First Time Quality approach.
- Project Management: Experience with project management, including quote and proposal development, project planning, and execution.
- Equipment Sourcing and Procurement: Experience with sourcing and procuring equipment, including identifying and selecting suppliers.
- Design and Process Improvement: Experience with collaborating with design teams to ensure manufacturability and identifying opportunities for process improvements.
