Overview of the Position

This position oversees the activities of team members, offering direction on specific issues, approving claims and payments in line with established protocols, fostering team morale, and distributing resources according to workload demands.

The daily responsibilities and challenges of this role include:
- Directing the allocation of tasks to the accounting operations team.
- Contributing to the performance evaluation process.
- Acting as a resource to ensure prompt resolution of client concerns.
- Supervising workflow and scheduling assignments.
- Delivering continuous training for both new and seasoned staff members.
- Creating new processes or refining existing ones to enhance team efficiency.
- Maintaining ongoing communication with management regarding production and staff performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Distributes tasks to the accounting operations team within Technical Accounting. Organizes workflow, establishes short-term priorities, monitors all activities, and guarantees timely and precise completion of tasks.
- Acts as a process authority for the assigned team.
- Provides insights into performance management and staffing choices.
- Oversees client accounts.
- Offers backup support for the accounting operations team, which includes rectifying internal reports related to financial standings, reconciling client accounts, and processing transactions.
- Conducts ongoing training for both new and experienced personnel.
- Reviews team reports, notifying staff of discrepancies and aiding in problem resolution.
- Investigates and resolves issues utilizing comprehensive knowledge of accounting operations.
- Develops new or refines existing procedures to boost team productivity.
- Maintains continuous communication with management regarding production status and staff performance.
- Possesses in-depth knowledge of all essential controls and guidelines.
- Executes special projects as directed by management.

About You:

- A four-year degree in accounting or a related business field, or equivalent experience.

- Experience working in a virtual, international, and multicultural team setting.

- Experience in reinsurance or insurance accounting is a plus.
