Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Associate Director of Financial Operations to join our team at Alcon MX. As a key member of our Finance department, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to our Accounts Payable and Travel teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide oversight and guidance to the Accounts Payable and Travel teams to ensure efficient and effective processing of invoices, pay runs, and travel expenses.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to drive operational excellence, compliance, and audit requirements.
  • Ensure agreed service levels and KPI targets are met, and accounting policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Cultivate a culture that is customer service focused and drive Operational Excellence initiatives within the organization.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including accounting authorities and auditors, to ensure seamless communication and resolution of issues.
  • Manage day-to-day activities, including team management, performance management, and career development of team members.
  • Own and drive future productivity improvements to achieve efficiency and effectiveness targets year over year.
  • Ensure payments to vendors and employees are completed on time and accurately.
  • Ensure the completeness of team's work and manage escalations appropriately.
  • Maintain high engagement levels in the team and across key stakeholders.
  • Management reporting as necessary.
Requirements
  • University degree in Accounting or Commerce.
  • Advanced level of English.
  • +10 years of relevant financial experience with an outsourcing or Shared service organization.
  • Team management experience, including performance management and career development of team members.
  • SOX knowledge and clarity about accounting internal controls/audit.
  • Collaborative and Influencing skills.
  • Excellent MS Office skills and SAP knowledge.
  • Financial Reporting & Accounting (Strong knowledge and experience in A2P).
  • Business Partnering.
  • Compliance & Control.
