Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Accountant to support our accounting operations during a critical period. This role requires hands-on accounting experience and the ability to contribute immediately in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience in property management accounting or high-volume accounting, with a strong understanding of real-world accounting workflows. Accuracy, accountability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support accounts payable and general ledger functions
  • Review, code, and process invoices and financial documentation
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Assist with account reconciliations and month-end close
  • Support expense tracking and financial accuracy across properties
  • Work within property management and accounting software systems
  • Collaborate with operations and accounting leadership as needed

Qualifications

  • 1–3+ years of hands-on accounting experience
  • Experience in property management accounting, AP/AR, or high-volume accounting environments
  • The ideal candidate will have property management accounting experience OR several years of high-volume accounting experience
  • Experience with property management software such as AppFolio, Yardi, Buildium, or similar platforms is preferred but not required
  • AppFolio experience is a plus, but we will not delay hiring solely for it
  • Familiarity with automated invoice processing tools or smart bill entry systems
  • Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals (AP, GL, reconciliations)
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

· Monday - Friday

· Full-time, 9-6 Monday - Friday CST

· Remote work with consistent availability during business hours
