The Intake Department is responsible for conducting phone interviews with individuals involved in current or potential legal cases. The team serves as the first point of contact for clients seeking assistance with employment-related issues and is available to discuss workplace concerns immediately to ensure timely support and advocacy.

Intake specialists investigate claims and workplace violations by gathering detailed information, reviewing documents, and analyzing each case for potential issues that may affect eligibility. The department plays a critical role in identifying valid claims, maintaining documentation, and ensuring that clients receive accurate guidance during the early stages of litigation.

Job Description

The Intake Specialist conducts outbound calls using prepared lists and handles inbound calls from both English- and Spanish-speaking clients. This role involves managing referrals, routing calls to appropriate staff when needed, and providing clear, empathetic communication to prospective clients.

Key responsibilities include creating and sending authorizations for personnel records and retainers, preparing declarations based on intake interviews, and assisting with necessary documentation prior to mediation. The specialist will also update trackers and logs used by the firm and translate legal documents from English to Spanish as required.

This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent client service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, phone-heavy environment.

ProfileQualifications & Skills

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Strong phone etiquette; proficient in Microsoft Word, Gmail, and general office tools.
  • Organized, communicative, and service-oriented, with a strong flair for customer experience.
  • Able to manage a high volume of calls and client interactions.
  • Familiarity with case management systems preferred.
