Overview
A rapidly growing property management and construction (builder/developer) company with a national U.S. footprint is seeking a Remote Leasing Manager to lead and scale leasing operations for a 500+ unit multifamily portfolio.
This position offers full ownership of the leasing lifecycle, from marketing and lead management to lease signing and renewal coordination. The role requires someone with AppFolio expertise, strong organizational skills, and a sales-driven, proactive mindset.
You'll collaborate closely with internal construction and maintenance teams to ensure unit readiness and seamless move-ins — connecting operational execution with leasing performance.
We're looking for bilingual (English–Spanish) professionals who are energetic, results-oriented, and comfortable working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when needed.
Key ResponsibilitiesDaily Leasing Operations
- Respond to all new inquiries within one hour during business hours
- Manage listings across multiple platforms, ensuring accuracy and visibility
- Schedule and conduct virtual or in-person property tours
- Handle lead follow-ups via calls, texts, and emails with consistent cadence
- Process applications, complete tenant screenings, and prepare lease agreements
- Maintain real-time updates of all leads and leases in AppFolio
Leasing System Management
- Rebuild and optimize leasing workflows and cadence inside AppFolio
- Create templates and automation tools to increase speed and consistency
- Coordinate with construction and maintenance teams to ensure unit readiness
- Develop and manage renewal outreach programs to boost retention
- Track and report on weekly KPIs, lead pipeline, and marketing performance
Performance Metrics
- Signed Leases: Minimum 3 per week / 12+ per month
- Lead Response Time: Within 1 hour during leasing hours
- Lead Conversion Rate: 20%+ from inquiry to signed lease
- Vacancy Reduction: Reduce open units by ≥50% within 90 days
- Renewal Rate: Maintain 75%+
- Listing Accuracy: 100% listings reviewed weekly
- Follow-Up Compliance: 100% of qualified leads get ≥3 follow-ups
Candidate RequirementsRequired Experience
- Proven multifamily leasing experience (500+ units preferred)
- Advanced AppFolio proficiency (leasing + marketing tools)
- Experience working remotely with minimal supervision
