Program Manager AI Systems

Contract | 100% Remote (Mexico)

Role Overview

You'll serve as the connective tissue across multiple engineering initiatives, coordinating AI agent development, platform updates, and infrastructure projects to keep everything running smoothly and on schedule. Reporting directly to engineering leadership, youll translate strategy into actionable plans, manage cross-team dependencies, and ensure communication flows clearly in a fast-moving, highly dynamic environment. This role is perfect for someone who brings structure, proactive problem-solving, and technical curiosity to rapidly evolving AI programs.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate multiple concurrent engineering projects across AI agents, platform, and infrastructure
  • Partner with AI engineers, full-stack developers, and leadership to define priorities, milestones, and resource needs
  • Develop and maintain detailed program plans, timelines, tracking dashboards, and progress updates
  • Align technical dependencies and facilitate cross-team communication
  • Implement and optimize agile delivery practices (sprints, retros, cross-team standups)
  • Monitor risks, identify blockers early, and support resolution through structured problem-solving
  • Manage and improve project tools (Notion, Slack, GitHub)
  • Coordinate technical documentation and reporting for leadership
  • Assist in onboarding new engineers and maintaining clarity across distributed teams
  • Learn new tools and apply project-management skills to support delivery of productionized AI solutions
  • Maintain a sense of urgency to get stable, high-quality solutions into customers hands quickly

Requirements

Core Experience

  • 3+ years in program or project management within software, AI, or technical product environments
  • Familiarity with AI and software engineering lifecycles, including agile and iterative models
  • Experience coordinating multiple technical projects and cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across engineering and leadership
  • Proficiency with project management tools (Jira, Asana, or similar)
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, fully remote, globally distributed teams
  • Highly organized with strong follow-through and proactive problem-solving

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to AI technologies (LLMs, LangChain, LangGraph) or modern cloud systems
  • Understanding of web technologies (React, FastAPI, ) and infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Experience supporting or coordinating engineering or AI development teams
  • Certifications such as PMP, Scrum Master, or Agile Practitioner
