Job Title: Paralegal

Location: Remote (Full-time)

Salary: $900–$1,300/month (PHP 16,646–24,044)

Schedule: To be arranged

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our growing team. This is a full-time remote role supporting family and criminal law matters in Maryland. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and experienced in managing high-volume caseloads while ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all filings and communications.

What You'll Do:

  • Document Drafting & Legal Filings: Draft and review pleadings, discovery, motions, and legal correspondence in compliance with Maryland procedures. Ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Discovery & Scheduling Management: Track deadlines, manage discovery timelines, court dates, and client communications.
  • Case Prioritization & Workflow: Independently manage 40+ family and criminal cases, prioritize tasks, and anticipate attorney needs.
  • Trial & Hearing Preparation: Prepare trial binders, organize exhibits, and assist in court as needed.
  • Technology & CRM Utilization: Maintain and update case data in Clio; streamline workflows for efficiency.
  • Internal Communication & Coordination: Provide regular updates, flag deadlines, and proactively resolve issues.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience: 3–5+ years as a paralegal, preferably with family law experience. Criminal law experience is a plus.
  • Legal Acumen: Strong understanding of Maryland procedural deadlines; ensures no discovery or filing deadlines are missed.
  • Organizational Excellence: Proven ability to manage high caseloads, prioritize effectively, and self-manage in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Clio or similar case management software; strong documentation and office software skills.
  • Independence & Initiative: Comfortable working autonomously, anticipating needs, and communicating proactively.
  • Cultural Fit: Professional yet personable, empathetic, client-focused, and aligned with the firm's values.
