Payroll Supervisor

The Payroll Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a team of payroll specialists, ensuring that all policies and systems are up to date and efficient, completing necessary internal audits, and ensuring that all policies, practices and systems are within compliance of any regulations or laws.
General Responsibilities
- Arranges the generation of the company payroll, including labor distribution records, vacation and sick accrual, overtime and withholding status
- Supervises and evaluates staff members
- Coordinate the activities of a team of professionals to ensure that payroll is processed accurately and in accordance with the set timeline
- Supervises the preparation, documentation and disbursement of all payroll checks, payroll taxes and employee benefit payments
Experience / Qualifications
- A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members
- Holds self and others accountable to achieving goals and standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
- Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
- Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
- Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
