**Job Summary**:
The Billing Specialist will provide support for client invoicing and other accounting tasks related to expediting the accounts receivable process.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Calculate costs for services
- Verify accuracy of billing data, correcting any errors
- Create itemized statements, invoices, and other necessary billing documents per requirements of the client
- Record amounts due for items purchased or services rendered
- Submit billing documents to client per client requirements
- Manage and track any unbilled revenue and work with operations to escalate as needed to ensure resolution
- Contact clients to obtain, verify, and update account information when necessary
- Other duties as assigned or required to meet the business needs

**Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities**:

- Basic understanding of clerical and administrative procedures
- Detail oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to solve problems as they arise
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software

**Required Education and Experience**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- General office and basic accounting experience
- Minimum of 2 years billing experience

**Preferred Education and Experience**:

- Business or Accounting degree preferred
- Billing experience using multiple job codes, and data assembly from multiple sources
