**Accounting Manager**

As the newest member of our team, you will act as a strategic business partner to a variety of clients and pod leader for a team of accountants. Responsible for all segments of the general accounting function directly and through delegation. Leads all coordination and onboarding of clients. Ensures compliance with financial reporting, GAAP, and other standard procedures. This position requires a high degree of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize a number of deadlines. **What your days look like**:

- Uphold our four core values: excellence, transparency, growth, and teamwork.
- Maintain effective controls to prevent fraud amongst our clients.
- Manage a team of 3-4 accountants and bookkeepers managing multiple client engagements in a wide variety of industries with scope and budget.
- Communicate effectively and act as a trusted business advisor to clients and mentor to teammates.
- Act as an Engagement Lead managing complex client relationships amongst multiple team members working on several parallel projects.
- Lead new client onboarding efforts including accounting process improvement and bookkeeping cleanup efforts.
- Research and answer technical questions and provide technical guidance to clients and the entire CFOshare team.
- Create, maintain, and improve supporting schedules which clearly and accurately calculate financial statement balances, including asset and liability accruals.
- Execute on CFOshare’s best practices to hit quality and retention targets.
- Publish accurate client financial statement by the 15th of each month.
- Mentor team members, perform annual performance reviews, and provide career growth opportunities.
- Review the work of others for accuracy and completeness.

**What you’ll bring with you**:

- Excellent Emotional Intelligence and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent industry experience
- 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience
- Basic understanding of US GAAP accounting and reporting standards
- Advanced experience with month-end and year-end close processes
- Advanced experience using an electronic accounting system
- Outstanding computer skills, especially Microsoft Office suite
- Deadline and detail orientation
- Strong technical skills and deep understanding of at least 1-2 industries or markets

**Preferences**:

- Active CPA license
- Experience reviewing and correcting internal controls
- Experience working in a small, high growth company
- QuickBooks Online experience
- Experience with a variety of AP, AR, and payment processing programs
- Experience working with multiple legal entities or clients at once
- Sales, Income, and/or Payroll Tax experience
- Experience managing a team of people
- Project management experience

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per month
