MANAGING DIRECTOR
Purpose:
The Managing Director position is responsible for managing the sales performance of the respective Sales Company that demonstrates Engineering Kompetenz in the market place. This position will model the Walter core values of customer focus, innovation, fair play and passion to win. This position will drive team and individual performance by setting tar-gets and objectives developed from Engineering Kompetenz Profiles. This position will manager the talent of the area through use of the Engineering Kompetenz Profiles to attract, retain, and develop individuals. Finally, this position is responsible for financial planning, target setting, negotiating group agreements and management of stakeholder relationships to insure company strategy is achieved.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Ability to understand company‘s market and own organizations economical coherences (connecting the company’s portfolio and business model to the marketplace) in order to make sound decisions.
2.The ability to understand and discuss technical coherences (connection of technology to solutions).
3.The ability to drive performance in the organization through people.
4.The ability to perceive, control, evaluate and use own and other‘s emotions. Ability to show self-awareness, self-management, social awareness and social skill.

Education and Experience:
B.S. Degree in related field or comparable career experience.
Proven & successful experience in Sales Management and organizational leadership with industrial cutting tools where new business development is the primary focus.
Well-developed knowledge of the industrial cutting tools industry.
Experience in a manufacturing or distribution marketplace.
