• Lead and coordinate security risk management for Plant SLP associates, assets, operations, and suppliers beyond the plant location.
• Oversee budget planning, expenses, and forecasting for external security services. Develop and steer an annual security program, delivering regular reports on relevant activities, incidents, budget, projects, and program status.
• Establish and manage KPIs to measure the effectiveness of security activities, incident response, budget control, and program progress.
• Coordinate the annual security program and activities with relevant teams within Plant SLP, CDMX and regional security functions.
• Participate in expert exchanges with other BMW Security functions and Centers of Competence, sharing knowledge and best practices.
• Conduct security assessments for expat locations and activities, including residences. Provide security briefings, inductions, and ongoing support.
• Assess security risks for business travel destinations and activities. Conduct security briefings for foreign travelers and Plant SLP associates traveling within Mexico. Define, coordinate, and implement security measures for travel to high-risk destinations.
• Provide expert advice during incidents or emergencies and coordinate immediate and follow-up actions.
• Evaluate security vulnerabilities for suppliers, transportation contractors, and their routes. Develop, implement, and maintain security plans. Conduct security reviews and audits at supplier locations.
• Respond to security incidents with expert advice and coordinate actions at the incident location.
• Support the development and execution of crisis scenarios, action plans, and exercises. Collaborate with management and the Local Crisis Management Team during real crisis situations.
• Monitor security developments related to Plant SLP's external business activities. Alert relevant stakeholders to significant security events and conduct threat assessments.
• Effectively liaise with authorities, partners, and peers on security risk management, best practices, and special subjects.
• Conduct security assessments for prototype activities outside Plant SLP. Provide security briefings and coordinate measures to safeguard prototypes.
• Participate in investigations of criminal activities against BMW personnel or assets outside Plant SLP.
What should you bring along?
• 6+ years of experience in a security environment, coordinating security risk management, incident management, and investigations.
• Proven track record in supply chain risk management (preferred).
• Military or police background is a strong asset.
• Expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive security programs and processes.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage security incidents, including leading investigations, coordinating response efforts, and implementing corrective actions.
• Strong analytical skills to identify, assess, and mitigate security risks across various business activities.
• Ability to leverage security intelligence and data analysis to inform strategic decision-making and program effectiveness.
• Experience in developing and implementing clear, concise, and enforceable security policies and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel occasionally outside the plant.
• English advanced.
