OTC Business Process Owner

**Job Details****What will you do?**The Value Stream Data BPO will lead and implement the short-term and long-term data strategy and action plans to drive data excellence and digital acumen in the business. This includes adopting process and technology standards, data governance, data metrics, trends, and root cause analysis for the value stream. A special short-term responsibility is driving PBU/plant readiness for business transformation from legacy ERP to SAP S4 HANA ERP. The Value Stream Data BPO with act as a bridge between the technical and business teams. This role requires a self-starter with drive to get things done, including robust collaboration across stakeholder groups to collect inputs and create alignment. At a more tactical level, she/he will manage data teams that analyze data objects in legacy ERP systems in Global Products PBUs to understand how the data objects function in the business process. With that understanding, the she/he will direct teams to review master and transactional data in legacy ERP to assess data quality and determine if stakeholders that consume this data experience errors that create process queues and exceptions that require correct actions. Action plans will be resourced and managed. The Value Stream Data BPO will work closely with Business Process Owners to manage data as an asset that drives business value. A passion for data and analytics and willingness to adapt to change inherent in a growing business with ERP transformation are essential in this position.**How will you do it?**- Lead teams and data SMEs to build data management and measurement capabilities in the business- Drive data readiness to create scale and efficiencies in ERP deployments- Be familiar with automated tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources- Direct data SMEs that remove inaccurate data and fix errors from coding, programming, data author error or other sources of corruption- Supervise SMEs that develop and maintain data bases, data systems and reorganize data into readable formats- Perform analysis to assess quality and meaning of data- Supervise SMEs that review reports and performance indicators to identify and correct code problems- Use statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets that could be helpful for diagnosis, prediction, and remediation- Prepare reports for management stating trends, patterns, and error rates- Work with SAP Data Domain experts, site data leads, PBU/Functional data leads and site data object owners to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modifications and devise data governance strategies- Identify and catalog lessons learned for future SAP ERP site deployments- Support and facilitate data extraction from the source systems and legacy ERP to SAP S4 ERP- Follow the pre-deployment data readiness guidelines as provided by the GP MDM team- Understand MDM data dictionaries and target data models**What do we look for?**- Technical proficiency regarding data base design development, data models, techniques for data mining, and segmentation- Effective communication skills, both oral and written with both technical and non-technical team members- Ability to communicate in English (both oral and written) with the global teams- Proven ability to respond within short time to constraints and meet deadlines, while maintaining accuracy- Demonstrated collaborative, problem solving, prioritization, and analytical skills- Strong mathematical skills to help collect, measure, organize and analyze data- Adept at queries, writing reports and making presentations- Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization structure- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience; Masters Degree is a plus- Lean Six Sigma is a plus- Up to 30% domestic/global“ Johnson Controls does not request pregnancy or HIV testing as a requirement for admission, permanence or promotion ”
