Director of Sales- OEM Customers: Volkswagen, Nissan, Audi, HT, Honda- Location: Puebla, Mexico- Relocation assistance provided if required- Will report the the VP of Sales- Will have 7 direct reports- Satisfy the demands of the customer by providing the highest level of customer service through maintaining the relationship with the customer and company while maximizing on the opportunity to receive future business.- Provide leadership, coaching and counseling to all direct reports.- Act as a liaison between customer and company in all areas of Production, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality and Finance.- Meet with customers on a regular basis to follow-up on current issues/concerns, engineering changes, quality issues, potential future business, etc. Coordinate customer visits for company personnel as requested.- Accurately and efficiently complete call reports, activity schedules and any other company required documents (i.e. expense reports).- Monitor due dates for customer deliveries and consult with various departments to ensure deadlines are met.Coordinate and complete all required paperwork for new product/program launches.- Develop strategic plan for specific customer accounts and assist the VP Sales/Engineering in the development of long term plans which include the Sales and Budget Forecasts. Provide sales forecast updates as required.- Responsible for meeting customer cost reduction targets.- Review quote sheets and cost estimates to maximize profitability and competitiveness and negotiate with customers as necessary.- Coordinate and track the cost reduction programs with the customer.- Provide coaching and counseling to direct report and conducts annual timely performance review.- Follow-up on outstanding customer receivables as per Finance Departments request.- Solicitation of new business and entertainment of new and current customers in compliance with the customers entertainment policies.- Provide departments with relevant customer information that will contribute to meeting customer expectations and achieving company goals and objectives- Suggest alternative design changes that contribute to better manufacturing processes and cost reduction- Determine best possible options to present to customer when faced with engineering changes late in the program- Maintain strong, positive relationships, while taking responsibility and accountability with customers- Produce cost competitive and quality parts and/or components- Handling customer issues/concerns in a timely, effective manner- Accountable for meeting cost reduction targets determined by customer- Establish/maintain relationships: Employees in Engineering, Production, Quality, Production Control, Purchasing and Accounting, Customers, Suppliers (i.e. prototype shops, trucking companies, etc.)**Required Qualifications**:- Must have 10+ years of experience working in the automotive industry for a Tier 1 Metal Stamping company.- Minimum of 5+ years of recent BIW (Body-in-White) experience- Must have managerial experience leading and overseeing direct reports for sales team- Will have experience working with one or more of the following OEMs: Volkswagen, Nissa, Audi, Honda, HT- Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings- Basic technical expertise in stampings environment- Working knowledge of Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT)- General knowledge of IATF 16949/ISO14001 requirements- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal- Effective sales and negotiating techniques- Ability use problem solving and decision making skills when faced with various customer concerns/issues- Creative, innovative approach- Computer skills i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, GroupWise**Education Requirement**:- University Degree or College Diploma in Business Commerce / Administration
