Provide the business with insight to ensure local statutory obligations are being fulfilled and contribute to the design and implementation of processes and systems to meet those obligations.- Deberes y **Responsabilidades**:- Maintain a constant flow of information with his/her supervisor to establish a communication in agreement with the company needs to achieve uniformity in decision making for both his/her responsibilities as well as company policies.- Oversee the process of maquiladora transactions, manage compliance, and assess best practices for reporting, documentation, and recordkeeping.- Research and monitor local laws, regulations, procedures, and applicable benefits related to maquila transactions; prepares summaries of new regulations for review by team members.- Ensure accurate and timely filing of all federal, state, and local tax returns, including, but not limited to, DIOT, electronic accounting records, and chart of accounts submissions.- Perform VAT favorable collection from tax authorities and prepare supporting documentation.- Follow up, in a timely manner, on all notifications from the tax authorities (SAT).- Collaborate with trade compliance team to assist with import/export asset declarations as necessary.- Document standard processes for all statutory filing requirements.- Prepare periodic statutory filings, coordinating with external firms when necessary, such as the annual return- Collaborate with central accounting team to advise and assist with recording of maquila transactions, month end close, and financial statement preparation.- Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining detailed balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis.- Monitor, review, and propose improvements for accuracy and completeness to the established accounting system and processes.- Interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits and reviews.- Updates and advances job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.- Support management with ad hoc reports, analysis, and other duties that may be assigned from time to time.- Ensure adequate compliance with company policies, standards and procedures.
