Purpose Statement: The Staff Engineer serves as the technical specialist and single point of contact for related field of expertise. Key Job Accountabilities: - Demonstrated ability to investigate and solve complex production problems related to tooling, methods, processes, equipment, - engineering specifications on parts, assemblies, products, etc. - Takes a lead role in New Product Introductions, by designing and implementing the manufacturing processes and ensuring that - production schedules are not delayed due to issues within his/her control. - Actively considers the Production Forecast, when making decisions which may have an impact on sales/manufacturing activities. - Able to define, schedule, and execute major product or facility improvement plans with little or no guidance. - Proven ability to train people in manufacturing process techniques used to build assemblies, and/or requests additional training as seen to - be required by new products or processes. - Additional Accountabilities: - Effectively perform all of the Job Accountabilities and Functions of a Senior Engineer. - Possess and demonstrate the Plexus Values (Customer Focus, Relationships and Teamwork, Excellence, Open Communication, and - Integrity). - Possess and demonstrate Plexus Leadership Behaviors (Prioritize Our People, Be Courageous, Solve Problems, Innovate, and Be - Strategic). - Occasional travel may be required to meet the needs of the business (estimated
