**Position**: Business Development Manager**Location**: Mexico City**Type of job**:Full time / presential.**Position Objective**The Business Development Manager in the Renewable Energy Project will be responsible for the identification, development, and origination of large-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) and mini-grid projects aimed at corporate and industrial off takers. This role requires a dynamic professional with proven experience in renewable energy markets, strong technical and commercial vision, and the ability to foster relationships that lead to the successful execution of projects. With a deep understanding of project origination processes, permitting, power purchase agreements (PPAs), and an extensive network within the renewable energy sector in Mexico.**Key Responsibilities**:**Project Identification and Origination**:- Identify, evaluate, and originate new solar PV projects.- Develop business opportunities and lead efforts to engage new clients and stakeholders.- Collaborate with internal teams to evaluate project feasibility, including land assessments, grid connection studies, and financial viability.**Commercial Development**:- Structure and negotiate Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), land lease agreements, and other contractual arrangements.- Lead commercial discussions to secure offtake agreements with corporate clients and government entities.- Support financial modeling and market analysis to ensure competitive pricing and project profitability.**Permitting and Regulatory Compliance**:- Manage the permitting and approval process for solar projects, ensuring compliance with local, regional, and national regulations.- Liaise with regulatory agencies and authorities to facilitate project approvals and maintain compliance.**Relationship Management**:- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including landowners, government officials, utility companies, and industry partners.- Represent the company at industry events and conferences to enhance its profile and promote new business opportunities.**Market Operations and Strategy**:- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to identify business opportunities and risks.- Develop strategic initiatives to expand the company’s project portfolio and market presence.**Profile Requirements**- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree (MBA) is preferred.- **Experience**: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project origination, development, or business development within the renewable energy sector, with a focus on solar PV.**Languages**:- Intermediate or advanced English.**Key knowledge**:- Strong understanding of the Mexican energy market.- Experience in managing complex projects from concept to operation, including permitting, financing, and stakeholder engagement.- Proven track record of successfully closing utility-scale and DG energy projects.**Key Skills**:- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.- Proficiency in project management tools and software.- Fluent in English and Spanish**Additional Information**:This is a full-time position based in Mexico City, with potential travel to project sites and meetings with stakeholders across the country and other countries.Tipo de puesto: Tiempo completoSueldo: $55,000.00 - $58,000.00 al mesBeneficios:- Estacionamiento de la empresa- Seguro de gastos médicos mayores- Seguro de la vista- Seguro dental- Seguro de vida- Vales de despensaPago complementario:- Bono de productividadTipo de jornada:- Lunes a viernesExperiência:- renewable energy sector: 3 años (Obligatorio)Idioma:- Inglés (Obligatorio)Lugar de trabajo: Empleo presencialFecha de inicio prevista: 02/06/2025
