Working within the Sales division, the Account Manager develops, implements and updates the account strategy for Process Automation business in the Oil&Gas, Power Generation and Chemicals industries. In this role, you will coordinate sales activities, creating added value for the customer and ABB, with a clear focus on increasing market share, profitability, and customer satisfaction

This position reports to

Sales Manager

Your responsibilities
  • Sale of distributed control systems, client portfolio management (visits, presentations, interface between the proposals area and the client, etc.), project pipeline management, generation of a network of contacts at all levels of the organization of the customer.
  • Leading the development and implementation of the account plan and growth actions.
  • Defining sales targets for the account, and ensuring they are achieved with a structured follow-up process across Process Automation Business.
  • Providing solutions for their businesses that are in line with volume, mix and profitability targets.
  • Monitoring competitor activity and ensuring appropriate action is taken.
  • Driving the application of standardized marketing and sales processes and tools.
Your background
  • Bachelor´s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Process Automation or related.
  • At least 6 years of experience in sales of automation systems and continuous process control.
  • Experience with Oil & Gas, Power Generation and Chemicals industries.
  • Some postgraduate degree in Administration, especially Marketing or Sales is a plus.
  • Knowledge of distributed control systems, PLC and processes related to the Oil & Gas, Power Generation and Chemical industries.
  • Advanced English skills.
  • Availability to travel (70%).
