The Global People BP drives and leads the site's people strategy and initiatives at the region/country level. Is responsible for partnering with GBPs to guide consistency of people programs globally while ensuring local effectiveness and relevancy. Partners with business leaders on the development of long term goals of the region/country's organizations and talent strategy. Coaches and develops business leaders. Maintains strategic alignment between GEBP, GBP Leader, site leadership and People, ensuring People programs and plans are aligned to businesses priorities and incorporate local relevancy, collaborating with People Services and COE to influence the design and implementation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibility - Connect people to strategy:

• Know how to use talent levers to enable and advance the country's strategic goals

• Translate country's strategy into a people strategy, and understand implications of one on the other

• Guide consistency of people programs globally while ensuring local effectiveness.

• Incorporate local relevancy into people strategy and People programs, while ensuring compliance to local regulations

• Drive region/country People strategies and solutions that deliver business results

• Explore opportunities enabled by people within the region/country

• Anticipate trends and interpret impact on business and people strategy

• Act as the conscience of the country leadership

• Champions change initiatives, org values and culture

Responsibility - Take action to drive impact:

• Define specific initiatives to achieve people strategy

• Prioritize high value activities and create process to reduce low value tasks

• Navigate the site to influence decisions and actions outside of the People business function

• Adjust your approach rapidly in the face of new information or changing environment

Responsibility - Deliver results:

• Define clear success metrics in line with business objectives

• Marshall resources to drive towards measurable results

• Role model commitment towards achieving goals by taking ownership of initiatives and delivering on the target on time

Responsibility - Communicate:

• Communicate the people vision and results of your initiatives

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to translate the country's business strategy into a people strategy and vice versa.
  • Understanding of how HR practices and programs can be leveraged to achieve business goals.
  • Experience in balancing the need for consistency in global HR programs with the need for local effectiveness and legal compliance.
  • Ability to incorporate local cultural nuances and regulations into HR programs.
  • Excellent communication skills to clearly articulate the people strategy and program results.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with business leaders, HR professionals, and employees at all levels.
  • Ability to influence decisions and actions outside of the HR function.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing and motivating HR teams.
  • Ability to coach and develop business leaders on talent management and people strategy.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR practices and programs across various HR disciplines (compensation & benefits, recruitment, performance management, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Project management experience.
