ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE LEAD


The Accounts Receivable Lead will manage the Cash Applications and Accounts Receivable Clerk, assisting in managing the Accounts Receivable Analysts.

This position will be responsible for managing assigned accounts, as well as handling special projects for the department to ensure efficiencies and accuracy while identifying opportunities to streamline processes.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Run monthly Aging report for Senior Management and lead monthly collections meeting to document collections efforts on past due accounts
  • Run ad hoc Accounts Receivables reports as needed by Management
  • Help troubleshoot all Accounts Receivable issues between three systems
  • Handle Special Projects as needed for Accounts Receivable cleanup
  • Act as the Accounts Receivable Analyst for specified accounts and ensure aging is in the best status possible
  • Communicate with customers, Account Teams, and Production Managers to reconcile accounts, resolve disputes and ensure timely payments.
  • Manage Cash Applications Specialists and Accounts Receivable Clerks
  • Net approved customer refunds from the AR ledger to the AP reconciliation account for AP check disbursement
  • Provide all backup and explanations for internal and external Audit requests
  • Create Free Text Invoices (FTI's) to correct system glitches and upload FTI files to Atlas so that payments against invoices may be closed
  • Liaison with Accounting, Systems, Business Operations and other departments for system glitches and system enhancements
  • Use data and prepare reports to proactively understand the financial status of their accounts

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 7+ years of accounts receivable or collections experience
  • Strong background in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Must be extremely detail oriented
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate across many organizational levels
  • Must possess high energy and sense of urgency
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask required
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX preferred
  • Entrepreneurial minded with an internal drive to continuously hit goals and succeed
  • Experience excelling within fastpaced, high energy environments
