**Join us in creating the technology that helps the world act together**We are a B2B technology innovation leader pioneering the future where networks meet cloud.At Nokia you will have a positive impact on people's lives and help build the capabilities needed for a more productive, sustainable, and accessible world.Be part of a culture built on an inclusive way of working where we are open to your ideas, you are empowered to take risks and are encouraged to be fearless in bringing your authentic self to work.**The team you'll be part of**Nokia's People organization is responsible for leading a business-driven people strategy and offering people and workplace services to all Nokia employees.We partner closely with the business to provide a motivated and engaged workforce that is fit for the future.Our payroll team deliver accurate and timely payroll services; ensuring benefits, social security and Taxes are correctly paid/deducted and reported in compliance and adherence to Nokia and country obligations.**What you will learn and contribute to**As a **Payroll Specialist,** your responsibilities include collecting and reviewing employee information and working hours, calculating wages, preparing and processing employee payments, and maintaining accurate payroll records.To be successful as a Payroll Specialist you should be able to investigate and resolve payroll issues and ensure strict compliance with company and regulatory standards.An outstanding Payroll Specialist should also have excellent people skills and a high numerical aptitude.This particular role will support our LAT countries and any other Americas Payroll as and when required.Our purpose is to deliver user-friendly, high-quality, modern & cost-effective payroll services provided by competent professionals.You will:- Gather payroll related data, uploading/entering as necessary, and validating for accuracy all payroll maintenance resulting in pay implications and delivering payroll data for payroll processing to include but not limited to benefits, interfaces, time data, garnishments, supplemental payments, termination payments, etc.- Work with payroll vendor and team to solve system, policy, and/or payroll related items and projects when necessary.- Communicate payroll policies and procedures; research and provide expertise to country specific payroll questions from employees, stakeholders, vendors, and other HR Colleagues- Establish and maintain company and employee payroll records related to time data, earnings, deductions, and tax withholding, while maintaining system data accuracy.- Maintain documentation of payroll processes and procedures.- Be accountable for the quality and accuracy of your output.Errors may have an impact on function/project/customer.- Adhere to delivery deadlines based on yearly payroll calendars.- Track changes in local legislation and initiate revision in local payroll processes according to the global approach.- Track down discrepancies and collaborate with other HR/FSS/Finance colleagues and employees.- Prepare and controls payroll related financial accruals (holiday, restructuring) and journal entries as needed.- Create and control payroll related reports to authorities to include period based reporting and year-end tax filings.- Adhere to and perform SOX control related activities while validating accuracy and reporting deviations.**Your skills and experience**You Have- Bachelor ´s degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent experience.- Proven experience of at least 2 years as a payroll coordinator/lead or similar role- Good knowledge of legislation relevant to accounting and payroll (such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, benefits, LAT/US countries legislations)- Working knowledge of payroll systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Kronos, Time Management systems, etc.)- Comfortable with Excel (functions, data, VBA, etc.)- An analytical mind with good math skills- Strong communication skills- Excellent attention to detail- Fluent EnglishIt would be nice if you also had:- Proven experience in a payroll administration of at least 1 year or a similar role- Familiarity with payroll processes of the LAT region- Good knowledge of legislation relevant to accounting and payroll (such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, benefits, and LAT countries' legislations)- Working knowledge of payroll systems (e.g. SAP, PS, Oracle, Kronos, TM, etc.)- Comfortable with Excel (functions, data, VBA, etc.)- An analytical mind with good math skills**What we offer**Nokia offers flexible and hybrid working schemes, continuous learning opportunities, well-being programs to support you mentally and physically, opportunities to join and get supported by employee resource groups, mentoring programs, and highly diverse teams with an inclusive culture where people thrive and are empowered.**Nokia is committed to inclusion and is an equal opportunity employer**Nokia has received the following recognitions
