**THE ROLE**
Market Planner is responsible to carry out sales planning and inventory management to
ensure the level of service to Mexico business in the most important category Retail Hair.
This role is responsible for managing the information flow that supports the forecast, by SKU, by
month, for product categories and different brands. Also develops statistical forecasts and
integrates various business elements/drivers and market intelligence shared by the commercial
team, Marketing, and CPFR Teams.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Ensure forecast accuracy and a high level of service, with low inventory and avoid E&O
(excess and obsolete) to meet company KPIs.
- Must prepare the statistical forecast and lead the demand review process, working as a
team and cross-functionally with Marketing, Finance, and Commercial areas, to
understand and deliver customer needs, following demand trends and seasonal
variations in alignment with the business unit's strategy.
- Coordinate with Sales and Marketing to discuss planned product promotions and
initiatives to improve forecast accuracy and drive excellent customer execution.
- Responsible for preparing and leading several steps of the S&OP monthly meetings,
supporting the business evolution, and being responsible for the agreed deliveries.
- Implement a monitoring mechanism as well as create the visibility of status, gaps, and
performance results to the Mexico leadership team with an end-to-end approach to
monitor and optimize performance for the company.
- Must update related reports and KPIs and lead the root cause analysis process and action
plans to meet the goals.
- Support large strategic initiatives including go-to-market change, e-comm, and supply
network design changes.
- Understand market dynamics and latest marketing and supply plans (promotions,
cannibalization, distribution changes, supply constraints etc) and make value-added
modifications to system forecast.
- Weekly demand control: collaborate with market demand planner and category supply
planning; propose changes to the system forecast and execute changes.
- Represent demand planning in Commercial (Brand) meetings and further enable a Brand
level of accuracy results.
- Prioritize key master data items to support current and future business plans. Maintain
master data directly in the system.
- Lead the customization process for promo packs with the external copackers to ensure
on-time delivery and support the strategic commercial activities.
- Support the production planning of a small portfolio with a TPM.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- 2+ years of Demand Planning or Supply Planning experience
- 2+ years working with multifunctional teams.
- Advanced English.
- Must possess a relevant university degree.
- Experience in the Supply Chain area with experience within S&OP and demand planning
or other related planning areas.
- Knowledge of ERP and Demand Planning systems, such as JDA and SAP.
- Advanced Excel domain is required.
- Analytical abilities to deliver comprehensive analytical reports, problem-solving, having
a logical and structured mindset, and being organized, with special attention to details.
- Ability to integrate information from multiple sources and drive alignment in a decision
process. Owning the area's goals and delivering results.
- Ability to multitask and solve problems quickly, but also have analytical depth when the
situation calls for it. Be an independent thinker who can identify unique solutions and
execute them.
- Strong communication skills to get agreements with different areas.
- Presentation and negotiation skills are extremely important.
