About the Role

Strategic Planning and Alignment:

The Enterprise Architecture Director for US & Americas will be responsible for defining and promoting the usage of enterprise architecture standards, both in terms of technology standards and its intended application, with a focus on the Americas market, including the US. This role involves close collaboration with various teams, both global and local, to ensure that IT solutions align with the unique needs of the business and the pharmaceutical sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  2. Collaborate with senior management to understand business goals, identify technology needs, and propose IT solutions that support these goals.
  3. Design and implement comprehensive IT architectures, including application, data, security, and infrastructure architectures, to support the entire pharmaceutical lifecycle from research and development to manufacturing and distribution.
  4. Develop and maintain architecture roadmaps and ensure they are updated to reflect changing business needs and technological advancements.

Technology Integration and Management:

  1. Evaluate, select, and integrate new technologies and systems to enhance the organization's capabilities in areas such as drug discovery, clinical trials, supply chain management, and regulatory compliance.
  2. Ensure seamless integration of new systems with existing infrastructure, minimizing disruption and ensuring data integrity.

Compliance and Security:

  1. Ensure that IT systems comply with pharmaceutical industry regulations and standards (e.g., GxP, HIPAA).
  2. Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive data, including patient information, intellectual property, and proprietary research data.

Collaboration and Communication:

  1. Work closely with various stakeholders, including business teams, domain architects, regulatory affairs, both at global and local levels, to understand their IT needs and challenges.
  2. Facilitate effective communication between IT and other departments to ensure that technology solutions meet business requirements.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

  1. Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in IT and the pharmaceutical industry.
  2. Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in IT systems and processes.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT architecture or a related area.
  3. Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise IT architectures in a regulated environment.
  4. Excellent understanding of current and emerging technologies, including integrations, cloud computing, data & analytics, artificial intelligence, and security.
  5. Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  6. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
