Business Development Director for Strategic Partnerships

The Business Development Director for Strategic Partnerships at Marriott International, Inc. will drive the acquisition and strategy of key partners in the CALA region to expand our marketplace offerings and create engagement with Marriott Bonvoy and our brands.
This role requires a strong understanding of partnership opportunities and the ability to evaluate, contract, and negotiate with diverse industry partners.
You will be responsible for achieving and exceeding critical annual partnership goals while proactively planning strategy and tracking progress against our long-term regional vision.
About the RoleAs a Business Development Director for Strategic Partnerships, you will oversee the creation, maintenance, and review of relevant partner contracts and agreements in partnership with legal, finance, risk, and other relevant departments.
You will also provide leadership for the regional partnerships team, focusing on creating a culture of innovation, performance, and collaboration across multiple geographies.
In this role, you will collaborate with each functional area in the Continent (Loyalty, Operations, Brand Marketing, Digital, Content Marketing, Performance Marketing, Sales/GSO, Consumer Insights, Revenue Management, and others) to develop localized initiatives and activations for critical markets.
Responsibilities- Research and scope out partnership opportunities in CALA to expand our marketplace offerings and drive profit.
- Achieve and exceed critical annual CALA partnership, affiliated loyalty, and financial/profit goals.
- Oversee the creation, maintenance, and review of relevant partner contracts and agreements.
- Provide leadership for the regional partnerships team and foster a culture of innovation, performance, and collaboration.
- Collaborate with each functional area in the Continent to develop localized initiatives and activations.
We are seeking a highly skilled professional with 7+ years of relevant professional partnerships experience or 12+ years of partnerships and marketing leadership experience.
You must have a proven track record of exceptional performance and demonstrate progressive career growth.
The ideal candidate will have a university degree, preferably in Business Administration or Marketing, and excellent quantitative and analytical skills.
You should be able to derive insight and provide actionable recommendations for senior-level presentations.
Above all, you must have superior communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across different geographic areas and cultural borders.
What We OfferMarriott International, Inc. offers a competitive salary range of $140,000 - $200,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
