Business Development Director

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the local market and be able to develop effective strategies to drive business growth. They will lead a team of commercial professionals, guiding them in their efforts to secure new business opportunities and build strong relationships with existing customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage knowledge of the local market and customer needs to inform business development strategies
- Lead the commercial team to achieve sales targets and exceed customer expectations
- Develop and implement effective marketing plans to promote IKEA's products and services to businesses
- Maintain a thorough understanding of competitor activity and market trends
- Foster a collaborative environment within the store management team, ensuring that all functions work together to deliver exceptional customer experiences
The Business Development Director will be responsible for developing and implementing short-term and long-term action plans to drive commercial success. This includes:
- Commercially driving sales to businesses through strategic partnerships and promotions
- Analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress and identify areas for improvement
- Working closely with the store sales manager to identify and develop strategies to increase sales volumes driven through Large Commercial Displays (LCD) and Company Display Centre (CCD)
- Ensuring all commercial activities and sales initiatives align with the company's objectives of becoming the leader in life at home and work and growing with sustained profitability
Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum
