About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer, Product Quality Specialist to join our team at Rockwell Automation. As a key member of our Product Quality Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product/Process Design and Development
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality plans and strategies for new product introductions.
    • Provide design input and guidance to ensure products meet customer requirements and quality standards.
    • Develop and maintain product quality plans, including inspection criteria, process validation, and test data collection and reporting strategies.
    • Apply quality design methodologies, tools, and techniques to ensure products meet quality and reliability standards.
  • Customer Issue Management
    • Lead cause failure analysis (CFA) and corrective action planning to resolve customer issues.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
    • Monitor and report on customer issue resolution progress and effectiveness.
  • Analytics and Data Management
    • Develop and maintain dashboards and metrics to track product quality and reliability performance.
    • Identify opportunities to improve product quality and reliability through data analysis and process improvements.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements and automation initiatives.
  • Safety and Security
    • Ensure compliance with company quality assurance standards and applicable government regulations.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement security practices and procedures.
  • Professional Skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve quality and reliability issues.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar technical degree.
  • 8 years of experience in quality, manufacturing, or field service engineering.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to increase performance results.
  • Experience in continuous improvement and QA tools and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Primarily Excel and PowerPoint, Power BI).

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning system SAP.
  • Certification in LEAN, Six SIGMA tools and methodologies (i.e., Green Belt / Black Belt), CQE, AQE.
  • Experience with the environment inclusive of products and infrastructure that must work together to achieve the desired customer outcome.
  • Project Management or Project Management Professional certification.
  • Master of Science or MBA is a plus.
