The Role of the Assistant Housekeeping ManagerWe are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join our team at Four Seasons Resort & Residences Los Cabos at Costa Palmas. As a key member of our Housekeeping department, you will be responsible for assisting the Housekeeping Manager in the daily operation of residences, Master Condo, and public areas. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that our guests receive the highest level of service and that our facilities are maintained to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Housekeeping Manager in the recruitment, hiring, training, evaluation, discipline, and motivation of employees.
- Conduct daily briefing meetings to share information on upcoming arrivals, owner requirements, glitches, and any other important details.
- Monitor the department team to ensure that the service they provide is of high quality, efficiency, and productivity.
- Review the daily employee attendance check and ensure that payroll attendance reports are issued in a timely manner.
- Inspect all common areas of the Master Condo to ensure that the established daily, inter-daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning processes have been complied with.
- Verify that charges for A La Carte services are made in a timely manner according to the requirements of the operation and the needs of the owners and their guests.
- Lead and be responsible for projects that are undertaken to improve the presentation or increase the maintenance of the residential component units.
- Develop, review, and maintain the overall preventive cleaning program (upkeep) and maintenance of units in rental program (Perfect Room Program).
- College degree in Tourism or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in management positions.
- Prior experience in Housekeeping department is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of computer equipment and ability to read, speak, and write English and Spanish at an advanced level.
- Understanding and familiarity with quality standards and service standards of the hotel.
- High level of integrity and transparency.
- Ability to apply an ethical approach to situations.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Reasonable problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work in a safe, prudent, and organized manner.
- Elevated leadership skills and experience in a multicultural environment.
- Resort and remote location experience are desirable.
