Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our properties by performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment issues, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubricating equipment, to ensure optimal performance and extend the lifespan of our assets.
- Respond to guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner, communicating effectively to resolve issues and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Conduct visual inspections of tools, equipment, and machines to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
- Operate shut-off valves and utility shut-offs to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including inventory management and requisitioning of parts and supplies.
- Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts using approved communication protocols.
- Display knowledge and skills in areas such as air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry.
- Perform surface preparation, painting, and minor repairs to maintain the appearance and integrity of our properties.
- Test, troubleshoot, and repair equipment, plumbing, and electrical components to ensure seamless operations.
- Program TVs and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties.
- Use the Lockout/Tagout system to ensure safe maintenance practices.
- Perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping, including sprinkler systems.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and guests to ensure a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Some experience in general maintenance, surface preparation, and painting preferred.
- Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance a plus.
- Valid driver's license required.
