Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to and resolve guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues and provide excellent customer service.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform basic repairs.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and requisition parts as needed.
- Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts using approved communication protocols.
- Display knowledge and skills in areas such as air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry.
- Perform surface preparation, painting, and minor repairs as needed.
- Test and troubleshoot equipment, plumbing, and electrical components.
- Program TVs and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related tasks.
- Use the Lockout/Tagout system to ensure safe maintenance practices.
- Perform repairs on landscaping and external sprinkler systems.
- Display basic computer skills, including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move equipment as needed.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of maintenance software.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
