About the Role

Servicios Comerciales Amazon Mexico S. de R.L. de C.V. is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our team at the MEX6 Amazon Fulfillment Center in Mexico State. As a key member of our Environmental Assurance and Protection (EAP) Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and Amazon policy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with compliance of local, state, and federal environmental regulations and Amazon policy.
  • Drive an environmentally responsible culture within the organization.
  • Support thorough and accurate environmental audits for continuous improvement.
  • Lead, coordinate, and supervise the activities of waste coordinators at the site.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple assignments concurrently.
  • Represent Amazon at appropriate levels with governmental agencies during inspections.
  • Work collaboratively with other EAP Team members, contractors, and consultants to ensure compliance and conformance with the Amazon Environmental System.
  • Drive the completion of environmental incident investigations.
  • Assist with managing and handling regulated waste programs.
  • Track air emissions and other Key Operational metrics related to environmental performance.
  • Inspect construction projects to assure sediment and erosion controls are maintained.
  • Assist with spill clean-ups and emergency response.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in environmental compliance or a related field.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in processing environmental permits with governmental entities.
  • English language proficiency (B1+).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in civil, chemical, or environmental engineering, or environmental science or a related field of study.
  • 3+ years of experience serving as an environmental technical resource or program specialist.
  • Broad knowledge of Mexican environmental regulations.
  • Experience in logistics is preferred.
