Customer Service Advocate for Supply Chain Excellence

**Key Responsibilities:**

Maintain ownership of all details and communication throughout the order-to-cash process
- Negotiate commitment dates and enforce business rules with customers for all sales orders, building a culture of excellent service and teamwork
- Improve customer satisfaction and loyalty by fostering strong relationships with customer accounts
- Ensure timely fulfillment of domestic orders through effective information exchange and interface with customers, commercial teams, operations planners, worldwide shipping and supply chain contacts
- Manage customer emergency requirements that may require after-hours support
- Conduct thorough contract reviews (customer purchase orders) throughout the entire order processing cycle, ensuring pricing accuracy per documented price deviation and communication
- Perform required invoice adjustments/returns as per global guidelines, obtaining and documenting necessary approvals, and following up with internal/external customers to close complaints within target dates
- Comply with environmental and safety regulations related to the business sector, and act in accordance with all Mexican laws
- Participate in special projects as needed; travel may be required
- Complete monthly reconciliation activities on a timely basis to positively impact monthly sales reporting for consignment accounts
- Build and maintain good relationships with internal customers
- Follow legal and corporate valid regulations related to safety and industrial hygiene
- Work with corporate CRM to ensure creation of new customer accounts within corporate ERP and updates to customer master data (currency, ship-to, payment terms, etc.) as needed
- Review pricing accuracy through applicable ERP/CRM apps
- Process billing for their own orders, ensuring customers receive these documents for all shipped and received materials
- Serve as a backup for the CSR responsible for indent and export activities as required

Competitive Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or International Business
  • 2-5 years of experience in Customer Service/Account management in the chemical industry
  • Understanding of Supply Chain Management and its impact on different points of the chain
  • Ability to acquire detailed knowledge of specific customers, products, product lines by BU, packing & shipping standards
  • Strong understanding of freight terms, payment terms, and pricing terms
  • Experience with ERP systems preferred
  • Liaison skills with cross-functional teams, multiple processes, and procedures
  • Familiarity with SAP, Google, and Windows programs
  • High level of self-starting thinking, independence, and analytical skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and customer focus
