Patient Care Service Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Care Service Representative to join our team. As a Patient Care Service Representative, you will be responsible for communicating benefit information to patients, physicians, and insurers, interpreting medical and insurance information, and providing case management services.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. You will interact with various stakeholders, including sales teams, information technology, and service departments, to ensure seamless communication and resolution of patient-related issues.
Key Responsibilities- Verify insurance eligibility and coordinate benefits guidelines
- Fax accurate and thorough Pre-Authorization Request Letters
- Determine revenue amounts based on allowable, benefits, unit price, payer guidelines, copayment, and contract pricing
- Submit accurate billing to government entities and private insurance payers
- Pursue supporting documentation from sales teams to ensure all required documents are received prior to invoicing
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in compliant patient billing, customer service, claims processing, or related experience in a healthcare environment
- Knowledge of ICD-10 coding, medical terminology, third-party billing, and collections, as well as managed care requirements
- Strong attention to detail and passion for patient care and doing the right thing when decisions need to be made
We offer a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
