About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Partner Sales Director to join our team at Canonical, a leading provider of open source software and operating systems to the global enterprise and technology markets. As a Partner Sales Director, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our business through strategic partnerships with Global System Integrators (GSIs).

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with GSI partners, understanding their business needs and identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to increase market share and attach rate with GSI partners.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales engineering, and product management, to deliver on targets and objectives.
  • Lead executive interlocks between partners and Canonical's leadership team.
  • Travel up to 40% of the time to meet with partners and attend industry events.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in alliance or indirect sales management roles.
  • Deep understanding of Linux and cloud software ecosystem, as well as open source selling models.
  • Negotiation skills to secure contracts and commercial business terms.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
