Job Title: Head of Digital Messaging and Automation Technology

Citi is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our digital messaging and automation technology efforts. As the Head of Digital Messaging and Automation Technology, you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of complex software solutions that enable our business to operate more efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and implementation of large-scale software projects, including the design, development, and deployment of critical software systems.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within the function and how they interact to achieve business objectives.
  • Apply in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions and make informed decisions to drive business outcomes.
  • Exercise control over resources, policy formulation, and planning to achieve business objectives.
  • Lead and direct a team of professionals, including management of people, budget, and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
  • Develop and communicate department vision that supports the broader organizational vision and ensure team culture consistently demonstrates alignment with leadership principles.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and delivery of successful large-scale, critical, and/or difficult software efforts involving significant work.
  • Think in terms of architecture, not just code, and have detailed knowledge of the work done by your team and proactively work to improve consistency and integration between your software and related software.
  • Influence your team's technical and business strategy by making insightful contributions to team priorities and approach.
  • Communicate your ideas effectively to achieve the right outcome for your team and customer, and harmonize discordant views and lead the resolution of contentious issues.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in a product line management, e-commerce, and/or strategic planning role.
  • Significant experience building complex business and/or transactional models.
  • Ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
  • First-class leadership and influencing skills, including experience managing a Tech Team.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and talent management skills, including the ability to identify and develop product management talent.
Education:
  • Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred.
  • Knowledgeable about Software Delivery Life Cycle, Messaging Platforms, and Intelligent Process Automation platforms.
