Job Title: SAP Basis Consultant

Beiersdorf Shared Services HUB in Mexico City is a dynamic and proactive IT Hub for Beiersdorf IT, playing a critical role in enabling global business success. We work closely with our major well-known brands, functions, and markets to deliver innovative, reliable, and efficient information and data technologies.

Your Responsibilities
  • Strengthen our professional SAP Technology team, ensuring a reliable and secure operation of SAP system landscapes (ERP, S/4HANA, BI, PO, Fiori, etc.) throughout the Group of Beiersdorf.
  • Provide technological support for innovative SAP digitalization projects.
  • Take over a sub-area of our on-premise SAP system landscapes in a Service Owner role.
  • Ensure stable, secure, and high-performance system operation.
  • Discrete analysis of occurring problems and troubleshooting.
  • Take-over of 2nd level support within the framework of SAP Basis support.
  • Implementation of change requests and system optimization measures.
  • Execution of SAP Basis activities, such as creation and provisioning of SAP systems.
  • Installation, upgrades of SAP components and databases (HANA, IBM-DB2).
  • Collaboration and sub-project management in SAP innovation, rollout, or upgrade projects.
  • Provision and life cycle maintenance of the SAP front end (SAP GUI, Business Explorer).
  • Further development of SAP Basis specific solutions with a focus on automation.
  • Contact person for questions and issues related to SAP Basis technology issues.
Your Profile
  • Successfully completed studies in information technology, business informatics, or comparable IT-specific training with relevant professional experience in the SAP Basis environment.
  • Expert knowledge in the support of SAP systems and SAP databases as well as experience in the SAP system operation in Azure.
  • Profound know-how in SAP Basis topics such as SAP NetWeaver technology and architecture, SAP ERP, S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, BW/BI/BO, Fiori, PO, SCM, upgrades, conversions, homogeneous system copies, heterogeneous migrations, Solution Manager, SAP Security.
  • Proficient in the database systems SAP HANA and IBM DB2-LUW, ideally SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP HANA.
  • Safe handling of the operating systems Windows Server and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server.
  • High service orientation with a strong sense of quality and responsibility.
  • Analytical-conceptual way of thinking, independent, and solution-oriented approach.
  • Team player with a structured and proactive approach to work.
  • Ability to work under pressure and willingness to constantly familiarize yourself with new topics.
  • Strong communicator with excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Taking over occasional specialist on-call duties as well as weekend and night work in consultation with the team within the framework of the company's on-call duty and overtime regulations.
