Regional Business Development Manager

We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead our LATAM sales organization and drive business growth in the region.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales management, with a proven track record of growing revenue and profitability. They will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the LATAM team/office, nurturing relationships with distributors and end-users, and working closely with OHAUS US management to ensure all responsibilities are well-planned and executed efficiently.
This role requires a deep understanding of the Mexican market and regulatory requirements, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills. The successful candidate will be able to manage a team, analyze marketplace information, and develop strategic plans to achieve business objectives.
The salary for this position is estimated at $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
About the RoleAs Regional Business Development Manager - LATAM, you will be responsible for:
- Managing the LATAM sales organization to meet established revenue and profit targets.
- Increasing sales and marketing efforts by selectively adding dealers based on their specialty in the region.
- Coordinating and integrating the activities of the sales staff with other departments such as marketing, customer service, operations, and finance.
- Determining customer needs and preferences and strengthening customer and dealer relationships in all areas of LATAM.
- Obtaining and analyzing marketplace information such as distributor problems, product problems, changes in dealer organization structure, market perception, competitive products, and market fluctuations, trends and opportunities.
- Assisting in product development by communicating market needs.
- Working together with the Marketing Communications team to develop a strategy for event and show participation in conjunction with dealers.
- Participating in product pricing and annual price changes.
- Designing a Product Strategy to have OHAUS be the main choice against other low-cost competitors.
- Lead handling and DSO reduction strategy.
- Providing all necessary documentation to local Mexican attorney and accounting firm for legal filings.
- Conducting Performance Reviews using the company's Performance Review System on a timely basis for all direct reports.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 6-10 years of sales or sales management experience, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience.
- Minimum 3 years prior supervisory experience.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency.
- Experience working in, working with, selling, or product management of laboratory analytical or industrial equipment.
- Technical knowledge of lab equipment.
- Proven ability to train, coach, and motivate others.
- Commercial and technical business acumen.
- Experience of collaborative working.
