About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Director to join our team at Benteler Automotive. As a Sales Director, you will be responsible for implementing customer strategy and managing all relevant activities in approved processes to achieve defined targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of customer strategy
  • Manage all relevant activities in approved processes to achieve defined targets
  • Document and maintain all projects in Benteler systems by ensuring high data quality
  • Prepare and support project-related negotiations with customers
  • Ensure successful development of orders during approved processes considering customer-specific agreements
  • Suggest cost optimization to Account Manager/Global Account Director and/or Program Director
  • Define boundary conditions and support the (pre-) calculation of prototype and serial production
  • Prepare necessary data for sales planning
  • Lead order and acquisition-related customer meetings, including negotiations
  • Expand customer relationships for commodities
  • Maintain a strong customer orientation within the company
  • Inform respective superiors about customer-related affairs in some particular cases
  • Promote a respectful work environment and recruit, develop, and retain human resources to maintain a qualified, motivated, and productive workforce

  • P&L knowledge
  • ROVA knowledge
  • Business English Language - Excellent Communication Skills
  • MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Technical Know-How - knowledge of production/manufacturing processes, materials science, and technical drawings
  • Negotiation Techniques - Define/articulate own interests; derive targets; knowledge of negotiation techniques, styles, and strategies; closing techniques
  • Business/Economic Knowledge - General understanding of business operations, calculation of business cases, interpretation of facts and figures, KPIs
