About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior UX Researcher to join our team at Thomson Reuters. As a key member of our UX Research team, you will be responsible for leading foundational research activities, determining and recommending user-centered research approaches, and developing data-informed job maps and customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead research activities to explore problem spaces, frame problems, and gather evidence to define next steps.
  • Determine and recommend user-centered research approaches to solve business needs and guide business areas through the UX process.
  • Develop data-informed job maps, customer outcomes, and user archetypes.
  • Synthesize quantitative and qualitative data to tell impactful stories and inform product and design decisions.
  • Define and report on UX success metrics and behavioral targets.
  • Create design principles in collaboration with designers and informed by internal and external data sources.
  • Work collaboratively with UX team members, content writers, development teams, product teams, users, and other stakeholders in an agile software development process.
  • Support, partner, and influence multi-disciplinary teams to execute UX projects.
  • Take ownership of self-development, stay current with research techniques and tools, and mentor and assist UX Researchers as needed.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with a Master's degree or higher in a field such as Cognitive Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience, Human Factors, Engineering Psychology, Interactive Design, or equivalent. You should have 5+ years of UX research experience or 8+ years of experience in lieu of degree. Experience in UX research on B2B SaaS solutions, foundational/generative and qualitative research, and conducting qualitative and quantitative research throughout an Agile development process is also required.

You should be a dedicated advocate of a user-centered, evidence-based approach to product development, while balancing business needs. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective communication with all stakeholders, customers, and team members.
