Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Retail Business Development Manager to lead our retail and ecommerce business partnerships in Latin America. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive plan to drive business growth and expansion in the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to grow Chubb's retail and ecommerce business partnerships in Latin America.
  • Influence, lead, and manage a team of local business development managers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at major retailers and ecommerce companies.
  • Nurture a source of prospects in all countries and ensure a correct process of profiling them and their key leaders.
  • Track and report on deals progress and performance on our pipeline management tool (HubSpot).
  • Participate actively in the structuring of proposals, negotiation, and closing of new deals, or provide support to local teams in these activities.
  • Promote or assist with events to build and maintain networking.
  • Coach and train local commercial teams.
  • Identify new trends, technologies, customer segments, products, and services to develop new insurance business opportunities.
  • Be the 'voice' of the Retail and Ecommerce industry inside Chubb, sharing market trends, opportunities, pain points, technologies, new product opportunities, etc.
  • Collaborate with different areas (UW, Ops, IT, Finance, M&A, Distribution, Claims, Digital, etc.) of the Chubb organization at the local, regional, and global levels to put the best proposals in place.

Requirements

  • Ten (10) years or more in retail and ecommerce industry experience.
  • Experience in managing and closing several large complex deals worth millions of dollars.
  • Proven track record of success in leading and managing commercial teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of the structure and content of Spanish and/or Portuguese language.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute complex plans.
  • Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills with C-level executives, investors, fund managers, founders, accelerators, advisors, and legal professionals.
  • Deep understanding of the Latin American markets in retail and ecommerce, passionate about digital platforms, marketplaces, and their variations in business models.
  • Effectively executes on plans, drives for results, and takes accountability for outcomes.
  • Upholds and models Chubb values and always does the right thing for the company, colleagues, and customers.
