About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Business Development organization, you will be responsible for identifying, prospecting, and recruiting high-potential merchants to sell their products on Amazon.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and build relationships with key influencers and decision-makers within the executive teams of prospective accounts.
  • Develop a clear understanding of the e-commerce industry and competitive environment, including knowledge of competitive product offerings.
  • Engage with merchants to understand their needs and gauge fit with Amazon's product set.
  • Create and articulate compelling value propositions around Amazon's e-commerce solutions.
  • Manage numerous opportunities concurrently and strategically.
  • Analyze customer data and make recommendations to maximize the potential of assigned categories.
  • Prepare and deliver business reviews regarding progress and state of health for respective categories.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets and operational metrics.

Requirements

  • Experience prospecting, qualifying, and cold-calling companies.
  • Fluent English language skills.
  • Pipeline management skills, including utilization of Salesforce or other CRM tools.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications.
  • 2+ years of sales, marketing, consulting, engineering, or digital advertising and/or client-facing roles experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.
  • Experience in procurement, negotiation, sales, consulting, supply chain, product/project management, or marketing.
