Job Description

This Senior Management position plays a pivotal role in shaping Scotiabank Mexico's human resources strategy, ensuring that the organization has a skilled and motivated workforce to meet its ever-changing needs.

Key responsibilities include developing and implementing short- and long-term HR strategies, plans, policies, and programs to support business objectives; managing the evolution of change by contributing to the proactive development of policies, plans, and strategies; and representing Scotiabank at various forums, including the Bankers Association of Mexico.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Thorough knowledge of the whole business in Mexico from an organizational and business perspective
  • Knowledge of Scotiabank's business objectives, policies, internal operating environment, and related philosophies
  • Strong appreciation of challenges faced in policy development in light of the rapidly changing legislative and working environment
  • Excellent diagnostic skills followed by strong ability to evaluate options and develop solutions to complex problems or issues
  • Strategic thinking capability to create an HR strategy for the country
  • Excellent communications skills to be applied across all units in SBM
  • Coaching capability to foster and develop a strong team
  • Strong cultural leadership skills
