**About the Role**
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team at Cognizant. As a key member of our Service Desk, you will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for our clients.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Service Desk operations to ensure smooth and efficient IT services.
Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems to ensure optimal performance.
Monitor system performance and implement necessary updates and patches to maintain security and functionality.
Collaborate with other IT team members to develop and implement strategies for improving system reliability and performance.
Conduct regular system audits and generate reports to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with company policies.
Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides to support efficient operations.
Assist in the development and implementation of disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
Provide training and support to end-users to enhance their understanding and use of IT systems.
Participate in the evaluation and selection of new technologies and tools to enhance IT service delivery.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls to ensure data security and compliance.
Coordinate with vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues and ensure timely delivery of services.
Implement and enforce IT policies and procedures to maintain system integrity and security.
Perform regular backups and recovery operations to protect data and ensure availability.
**Requirements**:
Possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Show proficiency in hardware and software installation, configuration, and maintenance.
